We were extremely excited to see our song "It`s Just the Price you have to Pay" reach number ONE in Bandcages top 100 songs. Thanks to everyone that listened and showed interest in the song. The song was written with the demise of the railway yards at the top end of Newcastle and with family life change in mind. NUMBER ONE in BANDCAGES TOP 100 , it`s a beautiful thing! THANKS.

Leeroy and the Rats are a Blues orientated, 70`s style rock band that revolve around Australian singer, songwriter, Keyboard player Lee "Leeroy" Hammond. Leeroy was the Legendary Bluesman "BO DIDDLEY`s" keyboard player thru 1981, 1982, 1983 and has toured in the company of greats like Chuck Berry & George Thoroughgood. He was the 1991 Professional music awards songwriter of the year and has accumulated numerous awards and acknowlegements along his musical travels. Leeroy and the Rats have toured the East Coast of Australia relentlessly for years gathering what some have described as a huge cult following of fans. Leeroy and the Rats operate independantly and have never signed a record deal. They have released 4 albums selling approx. 10,000 units and have played most rock gigs/festivals/Balls throughout the eastern states of Oz and have performed internationally.
